Tips for Getting Ready Footage

Make sure there is natural light - window light in the room where you're getting ready. This makes a WORLD of difference in your film!
If possible, try to have any small details together and tags removed before our arrival. Details can include the following: dress, jewelry (rings!), shoes, bouquet, garter, veil, invitation suite and special gifts.
Keep the area near the window free of trash, bags, snacks, etc. This will be where we film key moments for the getting ready portion of the film!
For your timeline, we will schedule about an hour for getting ready coverage starting just before hair and makeup ends.
Turn on some good music to get the vibes going!
If you don't have a wedding planner, delegate logistics of the morning to someone else so you can be fully present in the moment!

The Ceremony

We work side-by-side with your photographer for most of the day, so most of these questions will depend on when you want to do your wedding photos!

For The Bride: Are you comfortable with wearing a white lavalier microphone for the ceremony under your dress?

We always mic-up the groom and officiant! But for you, we would utilize a white DJI Mic 2 Transmitter with a white wire that tapes onto the inside of your dress prior to you putting it on. You would only be wearing it for the ceremony, then you can just rip off the fabric tape and pull the transmitter out yourself and hand it over to us. It will be completely invisible to guests and photo/video.

When are you doing family photos + photos of just you two?

Cocktail Hour + Reception

I will always capture video of all your table decor, speeches, impromptu moments, guests interacting, but I will stop shooting during courses to let guests relax and focus on enjoying their meal.
